Influencing the influencer

Even decision-makers need help making decisions.

They’ll often turn to someone with less context or expertise.
A person of influence.
A manager, a colleague, a partner, a friend.
Someone they trust.
But someone who doesn’t have the full picture.

If you want to influence that conversation, give them a compelling story to retell, in language that’s easy to repeat:

  • Why it’s important
  • The value of doing something
  • The cost of doing nothing
  • Why you would
  • Why you wouldn’t

Plain facts. Clear value. No jargon.
Anything else will get lost in translation.
