At risk of not stating the obvious

There’s good reason why good advice gets repeated. It’s because mistakes do too.

We have to keep reminding ourselves of what’s important. Like prioritising progress over perfection. And taking care of the basics.

They’re so familiar they often go unsaid, or dismissed as obvious.

But they caught me out this week.

I lost sight of the target and got caught up in the ambition of the vision instead of delivering what’s needed right now.

It’s embarrassing to admit, but a timely reminder.

Don’t overlook the obvious.
